Directions:
Set in a prestigious new development with a lift the flat is about 1 mile or 15 minutes walk from Princes Street the bus station and the main train station in Edinburgh. There is free off street parking and main bus routes are close by. Arrival by plane - Edinburgh airport is linked to the city centre by a fast regular bus service - best option is probably to take airport bus to city centre then taxi or bus. The airport is around 30 minutes out of town although taxis should be readily available this may be a less expensive option if there are several of you travelling together.Taxi details - Although the flat is quite close to the city centre for a stranger in Edinburgh it's probably easier to arrive by taxi if travelling on foot. (There are taxi ranks at the airport the train station and the bus station) Ask the driver to take you to Pilrig Heights it's reasonably well known. Bus Directions - From Edinburgh city centre take Lothian Transport (dark red) bus Leith Walk (there are many buses - please look at www.lothianbuses.com) or bus no 11 to Pilrig Street. There is even night bus N11 which runs along Pilrig Street until VERY late.(You should ensure to have change ready change is not given on the buses) Get off at Pilrig Street end unless it's a number 11 or at Pilrig Park (if bus no 11).On foot - It's quite OK to walk down from the city centre especially if your luggage is wheeled and it's a nice day. If you're reasonably fit It will take around 15 minutes. The most straightforward way is via Leith Walk along Pilrig Street then turn left into Pilrig Gardens opposite Pilrig Park. (At the moment there are road works along Leith Walk to support a new tram system and this will continue for some time so there is a lot of traffic congestion).By car - IMPORTANT - run off a Google map and bring it with you - you'll find one on the LateRooms website or on ours www.athollbrae.co.uk . Satnavs don't always recognise the postcode - it's a recently built development - the postcode is EH6 BF.Pilrig Heights is down Pilrig Gardens a small opening on the left hand side of Pilrig Street (facing North coming from town) opposite PIlrig Park. Pilrig Heights is a cluster of small multi storey blocks approximately 6 storeys high. There is a sign saying The Ironworks on the wall as you enter the area. No 6 is the first block on the right hand side. The building is called Harland which is shown on a sign in the garden area.Press the buzzer for flat 10 and the door will be opened on reply - the stair is directly ahead and the lift is through the door at the end of the lobby. The flat is at the back on the right hand size of the inner hall. You will be met at the property at the prearranged time. Please ensure that you have the appropriate Atholl Brae mobile number and that we have yours in case of any variation to your anticipated arrival time.Thank you
