The Selborne Hotel is a beautiful base from which to explore the rugged mountain scenery of Argyll.The hotel boasts 98 bedrooms all with private facilities. Ground Floor and sea view rooms available on request

All meals are waiter service, leaving you to sit back and leisurely choose your next course from our extensive set menus. Our chefs and dining brigade serve up a traditional breakfast each morning to set you up for the day. Light snacks, bar meals and packed lunches available at lunchtimes and sumptuous four course dinners are one of the many evening highlights

Dunoon is a traditional seaside resort with plenty of amenities situated on the Cowal peninsula, on the western shore of the Firth of Clyde where Loch Long and Holy Loch join the sea. It is one of Scotlands oldest and largest holiday resorts with a fine Victorian heritage. The town has lovely gardens and century old villas which back onto a 4 mile flat promenade running along the front

Tourist activity is focussed on the 19th Century pier with its lively entertainment and panoramic views across the Firth. Inland, there is a modern indoor swimming pool with sauna, bowling greens and tennis courts and both a 9 and 18 hole golf course. There is a cinemas, and in the season, occasional entertainment at the Queens Hall

The resort stages internationally recognised jazz and dance festivals and plays host to the Cowal Highland Gathering, the biggest highland games festival anywhere in the world.IMPORTANT CLIENT INFORMATION.The hotel will contact you 3 days prior to your arrival at the hotel to confirm your booking requirements, the balance should be settled at this time

Breakfast is served from 8am until 9am, evening meals served from 6.30pm until 7.30pm

Directions:
By Car: From the South of England: Join M6 motorway follow M6 The North West until you enter Scotland. Continue on A74M onto the M74 exit at junction 4 and join M73 bear left onto M8. Depart M8 at junction 30 onto M898 to go across the Erskine Bridge which will take you onto the A82. At Tarbet join A83. After the Rest and be Thankfull pass go onto A815 to Dunoon. turn left onto Jane Street and then right onto Clyde Street where the Selborne Hotel is located. Alternatively continue along the M8 to Greenock and pick up Clyde Ferries (Caledonian MacBrayne or Western) . Please note that the ferries do not run 24 hours please check for last sailings. By Air: Approximately 25 miles from Glasgow AirportBy Rail: Line terminates at Gourock Railway Station. Take Caledonian MacBryne Ferries across to Dunoon and follow directs from above.
