Set in the heart of the Loch Lomond and Trossach's National Park in Scotland this is a great place to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. Within only an hour of Glasgow city centre you would think that you were in another world. The rural setting of Rowardennan is approximately 15 minutes drive from Balmaha and 25 minutes from Drymen

Under new family ownership the Rowardennan Hotel which dates back to 1696 has been tastefully refurbished retaining the feeling of a bygone era with a contemporary twist. The facilities at the hotel include 14 Bedrooms En-Suite 2 Bedrooms with Private facilities and the Ben Lomond Suite which is ideal for a honeymoon or romantic break. The Clansman Bar has a real Scottish feel with a large roaring fire and Beer Garden with astounding views to the Loch and beyond

Live musical entertainment is often on at the weekend and good wholesome food is served in the Clansman Bar from 11am until 9.00pm (8pm in winter months) For those who prefer to enjoy a drink or dine al fresco enjoy the views from our Beer Garden where food is served in the summer months. The Beer Garden also has the benefit of a children's play area

The Rob Roy Bar with open fire is a smaller intimate area and new for 2010 is the Bothy with it's log burning stove and lovely garden outlook. Food is also served in the Bothy. Plans for later in the year include a fine dining Restaurant beneath the Ben

The hotel is situated by the banks of the loch and has the facility for slipping water craft and boat moorings. The hotel also has the advantage of a beach area which is ideal for children.Whatever the time of year a warm welcome awaits walkers tourists climbers and business guests alike
