A traditional fish-wife's cottage with an earth floor and many of its original furnishings. It is a low, single storey building, with a rendered exterior beaneath a tiled roof. The cottage stands out amidst its larger, more modern neighbours, and is a stone's throw from the sea, on Shore Street.

The former village school houses an outstanding collection of red sandstone early Christian monuments, including cross slabs, recumbent gravestones, architectural carved stones, and a hogback grave stone. Local museum tracing the long history of Sbernethy and region, located in the grounds of the former Culdees monastery. The main focus of the museum is the Round Tower of Abernethy, one of only two Irish style round towers in Scotland, and the rich Pictish history of the region.

Take a guided tour to the top of Kinnaird Head lighthouse, a 16th century castle converted into a lighthouse by famed Scottish engineer Robert Stevenson. The museum contains a large collection of lighthouse equipment and a multi-media AV presentation.

An historic water-powered oatmeal mill in a beautiful setting near Sweetheart Abbey. The mill is a lovely three-storey whitewashed stone building set beside Pow Burn. It was erected in the late 18th century by the Stewart family of Shambellie House, on a site probably used by the Cistercian monks from the nearby abbey.
An 18th century planned industrial village located on the floor of the deep gorge of the River Clyde by the Clyde Falls. The site features restored millworker houses, village store and working textile machinery, and offers walks along the river.
