Centenary of Flight: Images from 100 years of flying In London
A free exhibition at The Guildhall Library in London celebrates a 100 years of flight. Centenary of Flight marks the anniversary of the Wright brothers' first powered flight and features prints, cartoons, photographs, travel brochures, playing cards and other items with images from the last 100 years of flight in the capital.

Exhibits include images of early civil aviation and aerodromes, record breaking flight attempts and prototype aircraft. The impact of aerial warfare on London is also documented and includes a German aerial photograph of 1917.

The exhibits have been selected from Guildhall Library's extensive holdings of material relating to London, as well as from collections belonging to the Dean and Chapter of St Paul's Cathedral and the Worshipful Company of Makers of Playing Cards.
