06/14/2004 Entry: "Lake District Historic House and Garden Offer"

Discount Vouchers for top Lake District Attractions
As a special offer, eight of the finest houses in The English Lake District have teamed up to produce a leaflet of money saving vouchers, offering discounted entry of up to four adults per ticket.

Attractions participating in the discount scheme include Blackwell Arts and Crafts House, overlooking Lake Windermere, John Ruskin’s former home Brantwood in Coniston, the beautiful Dalemain historic family house and gardens near Ullswater, and Holker Hall at Cark-in-Cartmel with its award-winning gardens and motor museum.

Also featured are Lord and Lady Inglewood’s home of Hutton-in-the-Forest near Penrith, Levens Hall with its world-famous topiary gardens near Kendal, William Wordsworth’s former home Rydal Mount at Rydal, and Muncaster in Ravenglass which is home to a haunted castle, Himalayan gardens and the World Owl Centre.

Each property is offering a privilege rate for up to four adults per ticket. Discount leaflets are available from Tourist Information Centres throughout Cumbria and from the top 20 TIC’s across the country.
