06/08/2005 Entry: "History on your Handlebars Cycle Tours of Historic England"

Cycling to Stonehenge
A new cycle touring company takes cyclists to three World Heritage Sites – each within a half-day ride of a medieval village. History on Your Handlebars supply bikes and carefully researched itineraries which can include the prehistoric sites of Stonehenge and Avebury and the spa city of Bath.

All are found in the county of Wiltshire, which also boasts quiet lanes and delightful villages such as Lacock.

Participants pedal at their own pace on a fully equipped Specialized bike, while luggage is transported ahead and accommodation is provided in inns, farmhouses or manor houses.

Prices start at £80 including one night’s accommodation, or £28 for a day tour.
