London D-Day Anniversary Exhibitions
Two London museums are marking the 60th anniversary of the D-Day landings in Normandy. The Imperial War Museum in Lambeth, and the Royal Air Force Museum in Hendon are staging special exhibitions to mark the anniversary.

Modern Gardens Open Day 2004
One of the events marking this year's 200th anniversary of the Royal Horticultural Society is the first Modern Gardens Open Day. On June 26 more than 200 gardens, most of them created in the last 20 years, will open to the public.

2004 - RHS Year of Gardening
Costumed garden tours, the world’s largest flower show and the building of a great tree house are among the horticultural highlights of 2004, the Year of Gardening in Britain. The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) is 200 years old and marking its bicentenary with more than 3,000 gardening events. These range from the famous RHS flower shows such as Chelsea (May 25-28) to willow-weaving workshops and local plant fairs.
