A traditional Carmarthenshire farmhouse in unspoiled setting.

Dylan Thomas Boat House Dylan Thomas house
At the village of Laugharne, A4066, along a footpath with a steep staircase leading down to the small home where Thomas, the famous Welsh poet, lived. Some of the rooms are still the way he left them. There are a few original writings and a small bookshop. A tiny tearoom provides snacks. Tel. 01994 427420.

Newton House
At Dinefwr Park, Llandeilo, A40. National Trust. Tel. 01558 823902.
Set in a large park, Newton House was built in 1660, and altered in 18th and 19th centuries. See also Dinefwr Castle.
