The Salutation Inn is centrally located for most attractions and major towns and can be found aproximately 6 miles from Carmarthen. When you have walked or climbed the Brecon Beacons, shopped at Swansea or Carmarthen, visited Dylan Thomas's Boathouse and explored the two major Gardens and squeezed in a trip to the seaside, relax and chill out before you start all over again the next day. The National Botanic Garden of Wales is just four miles from our property

With its award winning largest single span Great Glasshouse designed by Lord Foster. Aberglasney Mansions Historic Gardens at Llangathen is just six miles away. The Salutation Inn serves superb food and drink in an informal and relaxing setting

Food is served throughout the pub and all our food from the eggs to fish is locally sourced and we offer a great range of food from homemade dishes dishes such as Lasagne, and Steak and Guinness pie to steaks and fish dishes, also catering for vegetarians. We are a 17th century coaching inn, with restaurant originally being a cow pig shed and the bar still has original rings to cure hams. Because of our location we are popular with walkers and fishermen

Directions:
From the end of the M4 take the A48 TO Carmarthen. From Carmarthen take the A4O EAST towards Llandeilo. The Salutation Inn is situated in the small village of Pontargothi on the A40 6 miles form Carmarthen. The Pub is on the left hand side after crossing a stone bridge over the river Cothi. Car parking to the rear of the Pub is available.
