Castell Malgwyn Hotel, Cardigan

Accommodation Description:
Enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, charm and gentle tranquility of this historic Georgian house, built as a private residence in 1795. Now tastefully converted to an exceptional country house hotel, this family run hotel has 17 en suite bedrooms with individual architectural features and a mixture of room types and prices to meet the needs of different guests. Dine in our restaurant and enjoy first class cuisine, prepared by our chefs from fresh local produce, whilst savoring a fine wine from our extensive, widely priced wine list

Afterwards enjoy a drink in the non-smoking Drawing room with its comfortable furniture and beautiful ceiling and cupola, or, the Library bar with its deep leather seating and a log fire in winter, or, watch the Coracle fishermen fishing the hotel waters throughout the summer. After a hearty cooked to order breakfast, check out the beautiful views from the windows across the lawns to the woods - Rabbits play on the grass, Buzzards circle overhead and Kingfishers and Otters are at the rivers edge. Situated in the beautiful Teifi valley with fly-fishing for our guests, the hotel is set in glorious parkland surrounded by woods

Each of our bedrooms is unique. All rooms are en suite with teacoffee making facilities, TV (some digital) and telephone giving internet access. Our beds are comfortable and guests frequently tell us how the quiet surroundings enabled them to sleep well

The Superior rooms are larger with high ceilings, and views over the lawns. The furniture and larger beds are accompanied by superior toiletries, towels and bathrobes making for a pampered visit. The Standard rooms mostly look out towards the River Teifi

There are Family and Standard Single rooms to meet all types of guest requirements. At the end of an enjoyable evening, retire via our original Georgian staircase to your room to sleep peacefully away from the bustle of city life.
