5 miles to the north of the property is the pretty fishing village of Appledore which makes a delightful place to spend an afternoon strolling by the quay browsing the shops and sampling the village pubs. Bideford an historic port town situated on the River Torridge is located two-miles south of the property and offers an interesting range of independent shops and restaurants as well as boat trips from the town s harbour.
