Positioned near the small scenic village of St Breward well known for its granite and china clay quarries the thriving community supports a Post Office a friendly shop which also incorporates a visitor information centre and a pub and restaurant that have been serving food and drink for nearly two centuries. Bodmin Moor is home to some of the best landscapes in the West Country. Climb the first and second tallest points in Cornwall Brown Willy and Rough Tor for some of the most impressive views around.
You will be perfectly positioned for touring the whole of Cornwall and North Devon. North Cornwall has a variety of the finest beaches in which you will be spoilt for choice with miles and miles of coves and inlets to be discovered. The National Trust Lanhydrock House and gardens are approximately 10 miles away and you can also visit the Eden Project Padstow and St Austell too.
Alternatively why not spend the day exploring the owners 4 acres of beautiful garden with a wildlife pond and relax on the patio with a glass of wine. Inside the property there s a large lounge/diner that retains much of the original charm and features from when it was a granite stone barn. These include restored oak flooring beams and a stone fireplace.
With ample comfortable seating to cosy up on in front of the wood burner (first basket of logs free) and TV/DVD there s plenty of space to get the feeling back in your legs and feet after some long walks on the moors. The kitchen area comes equipped with an electric oven microwave and fridge. Upstairs is the spacious double bedroom with some fantastic moorland views.
There is an en-suite shower room and WC for convenience too. Step outside to the patio complete with furniture to relax in. There is also ample off-road parking nearby.
You also have access to the owners four acres of gardens to explore. At the side of the cottage is a utility room containing a washing machine.
