Pheasant’s Roost was originally built as a barn, but has been tastefully converted to offer accommodation for groups of up to seven people.

Pheasant’s Roost is a charming retreat for large families or a group of friends. Exposed beams, stonework and a wood-burner add another layer of character to an already-distinctive property. To the rear is a private patio, perfect for a spot of al fresco dining in the hazy summer months.

Wonderful family holiday
We have just got home from our second holiday here, we stayed in the converted barn last year and the old dairy this year. Both holidays were perfect, with the kind and friendly hosts and beautiful grounds we were instantly at ease. The accommodation is lovely, it's country style and well thought out. With all the things you will need for a stay here. The beds are very comfortable and we all slept well. The swimming pool and trampoline were perfect for the kids and they adored visiting the hens for eggs. The horses are so friendly and we all fell in love with the dogs Crumpet and Humphrey. We visited several beaches and attractions in our stay here. I can wholeheartedly say this is a wonderful place to stay and highly recommend booking a stay. We will be back again next year!

Tranquil and fun retreat
This is a wonderful family friendly cottage. Phillipa the owner was so welcoming and even made us all drinks when we arrived. The cottage itself is lovely - clean, well equipped with ample space and a cosy feel. We were welcomed and encouraged to use the generous gardens and kids equipment like swings, swing ball and trampoline. We fed the ducks and stroked the horses and the very friendly dogs- My boys (8 & 5) loved it but, loved the swimming pool the most! The pool area is very clean with its own shower and comfortable furniture. The location is beautiful and very peaceful, but it is a drive to get to anywhere. This however, did not bother us as we knew from a previous visit this was the case. This was our second visit and I?m sure it won?t be the last. Many thanks Phillipa and Phillip.

We liked the peaceful location and surroundings whilst still being central and not too far to travel to coastal areas. The pool was a great feature. Owners are on site and available when needed and very helpful.

What a find! Pheasant's Roost is a beautiful cottage in the heart of Devon.

The owners were incredibly kind and accommodating. We were welcome to wander freely around the gardens and field and nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend Pheasant's Roost.
