This tastefully renovated cottage offers superb accommodation for up to four people throughout the year, set in a beautiful and tranquil town.
Built from stone, this cottage retains many of its original features, such as a Victorian fireplace and exposed ceiling beams. Today, it offers sleeping accommodation for groups of up to four people, making it an idyllic retreat for a small party of friends or family. To the rear of the property is a well-maintained garden in which you can enjoy a drink or two as the sun sets in the summer months.
There is even a small library of books and board games for cosy winter nights, snuggling around the fire.

Delightful Detached Cottage.
We had a perfect stay, lovely cottage in a great area. Lots of local amenities walking distance shops, cafe's chip shop etc. The place has recently been re-carpeted and the beds were very comfortable. The open fire in the main living room was lovely to sit an enjoy on an evening with a glass of wine. Definitely would recommend and I will return again soon.

Perfect, tranquil and central and our budgie liked it too!
Our first stay at this cottage. very clean and well fitted out. New Carpets due by Xmas after one guest(s) badly stained one/some. Garden large and well maintained by a Gardener. Washing Line no longer usable as Garden shrubbery has grown since the Photos used on various sites were taken. I suggested to the owner that a folding Dryer would be useful but a Washer Dryer is fitted. It is on a quiet road in Kirby Moorside across from a playing field which may be noisy in School Holidays. Only a 200 yard level walk to the Market Place in Kirby Moorside which has a Spar and a Co-op. No big supermarket. Several Tearooms, two of which at least have Wifi. The cottage does not have Internet or Wifi Access. We would definitely stay there again - as seasoned Cottage renters this is way up near the very top of the list of the best we have stayed at. Hate to give such a glowing reference as it may make it difficult to book it again! WE saw and heard Barn owls in the Garden and a Raptor, ? a Sparrowhawk crash landed on the lawn near to where I was sitting when it just just missed a pigeon and hit a hedge - it stayed on the lawn, regathering its dignity for a magical minute or two before taking off again. Low local light pollution makes star gazing good too! Pickering and Helsley Castles, Riveaulx and Byland Abbeys well worth visits as is Nunnington Hall (in Season) and the North York Moors Railway runs Steam from Pickering to Whitby and back. The Hutton le Hole Rural Life Museum, sounds boring, but it is fascinating - allow 3 or 4 hours there - and if you recognise lots of the exhibits like we did you know that you are older than you think! We will return!
