This house is full of character and is able to sleep four people in one en suite double room, and one twin room whilst the open-plan living space is composed of a spacious, light sitting-area, fitted-kitchen and dining table.

On the edge of the pretty village of Great Strickland, seven miles from Penrith, is this fabulous single-storey detached cottage. Situated in the attractive grounds of the owner's home, this property provides first class accommodation in a quiet, peaceful location. The property provides a wealth of character features such as exposed beams, Velux windows and a cosy wood-burning stove. Adding to the property’s airy feel are a set of French doors leading to a wonderful, private, south-facing patio area – ideal for al fresco dining, or sunbathing with a good book.

Lovely cottage
We found this cottage to be very well laid out although the second bedroom only had one single which was fine for us but would have been a little snug with 2 beds OK for 2 children As the weather was kind to us we made good use of the patio Cottage was in a good central position and the village had a good pub which we can highly recommend . We enjoyed eating there several times. Will definitely return.

Sunny Hill is in a very peaceful and tranquil spot and yet had so many things to do and see within about a 10 mile radius. The owner of the cottage was lovely and very helpful.
Mrs Whitelaw

A lovely cottage in beautiful, peaceful surroundings. The owners were available if needed but weren't intrusive. They were both very friendly. We have never been to the Lake District before but would certainly return again and we would definitely stay at Sunny Hill.
Mrs Pearce

Sunny Hill is a well kept cottage. The owners were very helpful and friendly and made us welcome. This was our second stay and we will stay again.
Mr Bloyce

We particularly liked the peace and quiet in a lovely village and the friendliness of the very helpful owners.
