This property is a splendid detached Edwardian house set in beautiful grounds just on the outskirts of Aberdovey.

This stunning period house affords splendid mountain, countryside and Cardigan Bay from almost every room. The house is impeccably furnished and decorated to create well-equipped accommodation of exceptional quality and style. The property has eight en-suite bedrooms, two of which are a lovely family suite and a self-contained suite with a twin bedroom, wet room and open-plan living area which is located on the ground floor and has wheelchair access.

The accommodation is suitable for two families or a group of friends, and this suite is ideal for providing some additional privacy or an extra garden room with storage if it is unoccupied by any of the party. The house also boasts a sitting room warmed by an open fire, a luxury kitchen, spacious dining area, and games and entertainment room perfect for occupying the younger guests with TV, DVD and PlayStation 3 - ideal for keeping younger guests amused. Guests also have broadband access, and throughout the house there are four flat-screen TVs with Sky Multiroom package.

Step outside into the double-level garden and you have the perfect spot for relaxing after a long day out and about. This is a superb holiday home for a UK holiday to remember with those close to you.

Family holiday for Birthday celebration
Just spent a fabulous week at Brodawel House. Enough space for 11 and my grandson.(had a spare double room too) All bedrooms were excellent with ensuite. Plenty of space to do our own thing and all get together for cozy evenings in front of open fire. Nursery for my grandson was awesome and his mum and dad loved the spacious connected room. Every room had a view. Games room gets the morning sun and was great when my parents wanted some quiet time. Would like to go back in warmer weather to take advantage of outdoor dining area, bbq etc. We had a couple of issues but Dilwyn and Gwen were on hand to sort them out quickly. I was especially delighted that the ground floor flatlet was wheelchair accessible with wet room and easy access to rest of ground floor and outside. It made it really easy for my son who uses a wheelchair. This alone would bring us back to Brodawel. There is a co-op supermarket at Tywyn for your supplies and the post office down the road is also a small store. The welcome pack was really good. The beach is two minutes walk through the sand dunes past the golf course. At this time of year we had it all to ourselves. We did also have snow for two days. Added to the fun. Amazing house for a large group. We will very likely go back. I have seen some of comments re being out for 10:00 on the last day and it does need some organising for a big party. We managed it by 10:30. Also clear notes re housekeeping around house can make you feel a little paranoid but at the end of the day you treat it with respect as you would your own home, chill out and enjoy all the benefits of such a lovely house, it is well worth booking a holiday here.

Great place to stay for a large party
A magnificent house to stay in for a larger group with everything you could need (including a good golf course across the road). Aberdovey is an excellent place to be based to explore the area. The train service up and down the coast was also a pleasant way to get around. Morning walks on the beach we're really great. We had no problems with the owners or deposit which was back in my bank account before we finished the drive home. There we a few minor maintenance things needing some attention and these were dealt with fast and efficiently. All in all a great house and we would happily rent it again.

Our ideal holiday home
Brodawel House house is situated a few minutes walk from a long sandy beach and 30 minutes from Aberdovey village with its pubs, eating places and shops. The house is beautifully and tastefully decorated and furnished and with every possible need met. We were a party of 10 and were generously provided for in the 7 lovely bedrooms all with en suites. It is true that the rubbish disposal instructions are complicated but this is not the fault of the owners who are at the mercy of the strict rules of the rubbish collectors. We found Mr and Mrs Zitron to be helpful and forgiving as they refunded our deposit in full despite some breakages. We recommend the Talyllyn Railway, and also the rail journey from Aberdovey to Harlech which is stunning

Good Stay, Nice House, Terrible Owners.....
This is a difficult review, especially as it is our second time staying here. We really enjoyed our most recent stay at Brodawel House once again. It is well laid out and has the vast majority of facilities you would expect (some are a little dated) for a large self catering house. Great location and suits a large group well. We go away every year as a big group towards the end of November. To plagiarise another reviewers comment, we were truly gobsmacked my the email we received from the owner once we arrived home. It was aggressive in tone and full of what can only be described as either fabrications of the truth or nit picking in the extreme as to the condition we left the house in. A large part of our housekeeping deposit has now been withheld for (and I quote) "One dishwasher was full and still running", "some worktops had not been cleaned", "food waste left in one bin"...... We as a group thoroughly cleaned the premises before we left, and in some cases we left it cleaner than when we found it. There was however one mark on one chair that was highlighted that I was happy to pay extra cleaning towards but this was not sufficient and we were charged the vast majority of our £200 without any recourse. It has truly put us off and I would urge any future victors to this premises not to expect their housekeeping deposit back and to receive a condescending highly inappropriate email afterwards. If you don't like having people actually use your house and its facilities then don't rent it out!! Its called the hospitality industry for a reason.

Fabulous house, spacious and well appointed. Perfect kitchen equipped for capacious appetites! Fantastic views. The ground floor apartment was perfect for my elderly mum, with wheelchair accessible facilities.
