This studio cottage is situated in the grounds of the owners home in the Somerset town of South Petherton and contains one double bed.

Idler’s Cottage is a ham-stone studio-cottage that offers accommodation for up to 2 people. All the accommodation is laid-out over one level and has been decorated with taste and thought throughout. A private patio allows you to enjoy a spot of summertime dining while, in the winter months, storage heaters and a wood burning stove ensure that you can still enjoy all that the area has to offer.

Although there is off-road parking for 1 car, the local shops and pubs are just a short walk from the front door. Idler’s Cottage is well placed as a base from which to seek out local attractions.

Beautiful Cottage
I am extremely apologetic within how late I am leaving our review for this most wonderful stay. My self and my Fianc? had the most magical New Years stay at Idlers cottage. Totalling of 4 nights. We have stayed in many places, however this little hidden gem has for sure become one of our favourites. The location it's self is just beautiful. The perfect chocolate box little village you could wish for. We enjoyed many evenings strolling through the village taking in all of the beauty of the Christmas lights/beautiful buildings. Charles is very welcoming and accommodating. Everything you could wish for is right inside of the cottage - making it a very special stay. Idlers cottage is beautifully decorated. It is so very cutesy and cosy inside. Along with a very private garden area outside. It is the perfect hideaway for that well needed break. I really could not recommend enough. Thank you again. We can?t wait to return. Sam & Pedro

Lovely stay
Lovely little bedsit style annex above owners double garage. Double doors to small private seating area. Amazing use of space inside, didn't feel small, just very cosy. You have to walk through owners back gate and along a small covered path through their beautiful garden to reach it, but they respect privacy and don't disturb you, but are there if needed. Parking is ample for one car but coming out of drive onto small narrow street can prove challenging if in anything bigger than a fiesta/punto.(we have a Peugeot 406). House opposite was having work done so had to navigate a skip and transit van as reversing out of driveway which proved tricky but I'm sure would be easier at other times. Lovely village with lovely shops, especially the bakery which helped us gain a few extra pounds. Definately avoid the co-op and get your provisions from local small shops like butcher etc as you will miss the great foods on offer. Great place, lovely accommodation and helpful owners, well worth a visit. Highly recommend.

Beautiful cottage, wonderful little touches such as the furnishings and pretty garden flowers. The bed was so very comfortable and the overall comfort was perfect for two. Unobtrusive owners who were friendly when we arrived. Thank you for providing such a pretty place to stay.
Ms Muir

A very peaceful and restful environment. A plentiful supply of shops nearby, very helpful and non-intrusive owners.
Mr Tomlin

A lovely cottage with excellent owners who give you all the information about the cottage and surrounding area then leave you to get on and enjoy your stay - perfect. It was nice and secluded, comfortable and quiet, perfect.
