An eco-friendly cottage sleeping six people over three bedrooms, a mile from Llandissilio.

This cosy eco-friendly cottage is a mile from the centre of Llandissilio village, and has been lovingly converted from a barn to create superb accommodation of character. There are open beams, stone walling and an external stone staircase, as well as two twin and one double bedrooms, and spacious rooms throughout. There is full eco friendly central heating from Biomass boiler, and all electricity is generated from owners' wind turbine.

Outside are a hot tub and a large informal garden with lawned area, open woodland, furniture & BBQ, a wonderful spot for relaxing or playing together. Please note: The hot tub is £100 per week and £50 per short break, payable direct to owner.

Disappointing stay in this converted barn that could have been so much better with some easy adjustments. Firstly there was a lack of essential items to use which resulted in us having to go and buy quite a few items. For example there was not any soap to use in either bathroom, or essential items for the kitchen such as oil, salt and pepper (apart from a few very old looking sachets normally found in cafe's) or dishwasher tablets. These basic items would have made a big difference as would a simple welcome basket containing tea, coffee, biscuits and eggs for example. The barn in general is very rustic which has a certain charm about it but a lot of things need updating. There was only one very old tea towel to use that had holes in it, the curtains in the lounge had what looked like chocolate stains on them and were frayed at the bottom. The upstairs bathroom door didn't close very well unless you forced it but all it really needed was a bit of wood shaved off it! There was also mould in both bathrooms and on the kitchen blind. On the plus side, the hot tub outside was lovely and there are some great views of the stars to be had on a clear night. Plus it is a very quiet peaceful location and the owners were friendly and helpful. Overall a rustic barn conversion in a quiet location that needs some attention to detail to make it better.

What a great property! The converted barn has a style all its own, each room is unique. The family that run the farm are really helpful and friendly, as are the animals.

The owners were really friendly and accommodating, and the setting was really peaceful and relaxing. It was really central to lots of places in the surrounding area. A great place to stay. We definitely intend to return again with my grandchildren as it would be a great place for children.
Mrs Stanwyck

Peaceful, quiet location. Very friendly welcome, the owners were most helpful. Milk and eggs supplied to start off on arrival. Excellent heating, ecologically very good with solar panels and biomass boiler, very self-sufficient.

The family were lovely and friendly. It was a great place for children and a beautiful setting!
