A Place To Avoid
Poor level of cleanliness and cheap, tacky, dilapidated decor. Tired, scratched and dirty paintwork. Dog hairs under every piece of furniture on every piece of furniture and in every corner. Dirty furnishings and a rug so old and caked in dirt it is unsanitary. Gaudy Decor. Uncomfortable beds. Filthy stairway carpet. A stair gate that is rusty and covered in dirt. Green algae coated windows that's been there for months. Mildew in window frames and shower enclosures. Poorly appointed kitchen equipment comprising of a mismatch of dirty, broken pots and pans, chipped plates and a few assorted pieces of stoneware and oddments of plastic and glass glasswear. The kitchen drawers were dirty and full of broken utensils and oddments of cutlery which were old and not matching. Dangerous, broken saucepans, even some ancient aluminium ones that looked like they were from house clearances. Dog hairs in the kitchen cupboards and sticky greasy tiles and extractor fan. Way too much chlorine in hot tub - very disappointing and unhealthy. Games room, broken gym equipment and sauna covered in cat hairs and cat poo. Such a shame could be a fantastic place to stay if it was run by someone else that cared about their guest's stay and had the right demeanour to run a holiday rental.

Well equipped pet friendly cottage, with fantastic private hot tub
Stayed here for a week and used as a base for walking and cycling. Good cycle routes nearby and lovely coastal walks not far from cottage. Owners were helpful and friendly with good advice on what to do in the area. We left some belongings in the cottage when we left - not very clever! However, the owners posted the items back to us free of charge, so thank you very much. The local town has a good supermarket and decent take-aways. We enjoyed our stay here and found the relaxed environment and good facilities were what we really needed to help us unwind at the end of a busy year.

Absolutely beautiful heavenly retreat
Four of us had a wonderful time at Millers Cottage over the weekend. The hot tub is fabulous, the facilities in the kitchen are great, and the surprise welcome hamper was very useful! We were a little worried that the ?pet friendly? part of the previous reviews would mean that we would have a cottage full of dog hairs and smelling of dog, but that absolutely wasn?t the case at all! The cottage was clean, tidy, warm and very welcoming! Already working out when we can come back!! Top tip... bring flip flops next time for the very short walk across the front yard to the hot tub!

An excellent cottage which was well equipped. The hosts were hospitable and nothing was too much trouble, they made us feel very welcome. The hot tub was excellent and we would definitely return and recommend.

We enjoyed the use of the hot tub and all the animals on the farm. The property was totally dog friendly.
