The best view in Wales
We have stayed in this wonderful cottage numerous times and we keep getting drawn back to it. It has a brilliant location for a relaxing holiday and also central for exploring West Wales. The owner Kevin is always very helpful, keeping us well supplied with logs if needed and has a wealth of knowledge of the surrounding area if anyone needs any tips on where to visit. The cottage itself is very homely and welcoming and very well equipped. There are lots of games to play and DVDs to watch for both children and adults if the weather is bad, especially when the fire is lit and you don't want to leave the cottage. The garden is lovely and the hot tub is a big bonus, especially when our grown up children and their partners join us for a few days. A visit to Pembrey Country Park is a must especially if you have dogs as the beach is lovely and clean and is so long that it never gets crowded. In all, this cottage has everything you need to have a holiday to remember and like us, you will want to keep coming back again and again.

Beautiful cottage with breathtaking views
Wow, what a cottage. We really lovely the look of this cottage but didn't realise what amazing views it had. We stayed for a week in August and had a great time. The owner is very helpful and the cottage well equipped, although the oven didn't work that well in circulating the heat. Our girls made good use of the hot tub and loved the gardens. Pembrey Country Park is just down the road and has a beautiful beach plus dry ski slope, toboggan run and forest walks. All in all a fantastic week and it was sunny all week too!

Lovely-visted in July 2017
We visited this cottage at the end of July 2017 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were a party of 4 adults and three children(5,9.11years) and were all desperate to get away from the busy day to day business and stress of work and life and relax-the cottage (and hot tub especially) were absolutely perfect for that! Although when we visited the weather was typically British with lots of squally showers and wind, this cottage was the perfect place to ride out the storm so to speak and spend quality time together. The kids loved the enclosed garden with sea view, swings and room to make their own adventures and us adults,it must be said, took advantage of the beautiful surroundings and spent our nights relaxing in the spacious lounge, reading, playing cards and soaking up the atmosphere of this beautiful listed building. The bedrooms were spacious with plenty of room in each, storage space, and character(including wooden beamed ceilings). The kitchen had everything we could think of (including a range cooker I wish I could have taken home with me) and was inviting and comfortable as well as functional. The lounge, with its traditional log burner, managed to.be both spacious and cosy which was perfect on those rainy nights. Although we have visited Wales many times before,we did not know this area very well but we were pleasantly surprised. The cottage is situated halfway up a mountain road and beaches and other attractions are just a short drive away(would highly recommend Kidwelly Castle and also Pembry Country Park). Kevin(the owner) was really helpful and gave us lots of advice. Would definitely recommend

Absolutely loved the cottage. Spectacular views across to Pembrey country park and further afield. Plenty of things to do during the day and a night in the hot tub made the holiday! Kevin was a brilliant host and we look forward to coming again next year

Stunning on the outside
The cottage location is perfect. The views are amazing even while sat in the hot tub! The write up should advise that while it is a Grade II listed cottage this comes with its problems. The kitchen is large but there is no space for groceries as all the cupboards are too full, plus this room is the dampest. The sofas are as tired as the kitchen and down stairs loo. Logs for the fire were not provided and it was chilly in an evening. The fridge doesn't seem to work very well, not very cold. Usually when we stay in cottages there is a welcome tray or at least a bottle of milk, plus kitchen cloths, hand wash, washing liquid.etc but there was nothing here. The bathroom upstairs is lovely, very clean & modern and the bedrooms are comfy. The windows are low so unless you sit on the floor you can not see the stunning views from upstairs. On arrival we were disappointed with the smell and cleanliness. We had to clean the fridge freezer out of old food and sour cream. The kitchen hasn't got anything decent to cook on everything is chard or scratched, or tainted with the damp. It would have been nice to return to the cottage as it has a wonderful aspect but the interior needs a make over.
