Curlew Cottage is a great accommodation, home from home in a beautiful setting. Huge choice of places to visit , activities to suit all within walking or reasonable driving distance. Found a great number of dog friendly pubs and chose to eat out for main meals daily. Found the standard high in all of these. Lucky with the weather too only one really rainy day.

The photos did not do justice to the views from the patio - so nice to see the ever changing tidal views. The beach was much nearer than we expected. This area is a lovely secret part of Cumbria and we found the locals very friendly.

Liked the panoramic views and the location, the village is particularly nice. The cottage is lovely; modern but traditional at the same time. It was also lovely and warm, the beds were so comfy too. We simply loved being there.

Very comfortable cottage
This is a great place to stay for exploring the beautiful Lake district. Lovely views of the countryside. No complaints at all about the cottage but wouldn't recommend the area for young children. We were expecting a beach for our 2 year old grandson but unfortunately all along this coast is what I can only describe as mudflats. Totally unsuitable for children. Had we known this just myself and my husband would have visited.
