Great wee cottage but let down by standard of cleanliness
First and foremost, I'd like to say this cottage is really quaint. The lane up to it is a wee bit tight (for a Ford Ranger) but we made it. We booked because it was dog friendly and overall it was ok. However, what really let this lovely quaint wee cottage down was the standard of cleanliness - the oven was filthy and the hall & stair carpets are badly stained and the bedroom carpet was really dusty along the skirting. These are issues which have been taken up with the owner but perhaps hoovering the carpets once a week and shampooing the carpets once a year just isn't going to cut it. I house keep in a 4 star B & B guest house which is currently sitting as the No 1 B & B in Fort William so I notice things others may not, such as dusty skirting boards, stained carpets, dust on the tops of pictures etc etc but this cottage could really do with being closed off for a week and given a deep clean and for that regime to be maintained on a a regular basis. Thanks David for taking all my comments on board, I like your wee house but it could be so much better

We felt comfortable as soon as we stepped through the front door. It's very homely, you don't feel as if you are in someone else's house. Information is available in the cottage for just about every part of Yorkshire. We had a fantastic time.

We have stayed in this cottage several times. It has maintained the high standard of service and presentation. The town of Masham is convenient and has good facilities

The Cottage had everything we could wish for; the kitchen was well equipped and spacious, and the washing machine was a godsend after a day out walking in the muddy fields. We loved how cosy the sitting room was on an evening, especially with the fire lit. We loved our stay here and wouldn't hesitate to come back again.

Beautiful cottage in the charming, welcoming village of Masham. The property was larger than expected and had loads of character. The central heating was more than sufficient but the open fire in the lounge gave it that something extra. The cottage had everything you could wish for including washing machine and dish washer. At the rear of the property is a small garden area which was a real suntrap when the sun was shining.
