North Wales Self Catering cottage, Isfryn, Caernarfon, sleeps 22
Areas: North Wales

Sleeps a maximum of: 22
Pricing From: £931.00
Situated mere seconds from Caernarfon's town centre, this property dates back to the 1800s and has been decorated to a high-standard, combining much of its original character with modern treats such as a whirlpool bath.
This characterful property was originally built in Georgian times and has since achieved a Grade II listed status. It is extraordinarily spacious, with enough bedrooms to sleep groups of up to 22 people. One of the main features of the house must be the magnificent dining room which has a table to seat 20; perfect for a large celebration.

Tired, smelly, not terribly clean. Unloved and un armed for property in a wonderful location.
This property seems not to have had any love or attention for years. It smelled musty, the soft furnishings were stained and smelt musty, it was not ?deep clean? although the carpets had been vacuumed. The beds were mostly comfortable but others were broken or rickety, and many of the pillows and duvets were stained, although the bed linen was clean.
The garden was a mess, with weeds and dead trees and debris everywhere, there was a filthy bbq, dirty plastic seats and uncut grass. The dishwasher didn?t work all week, although someone did come one day to mend it, but didn?t. The owners were incommunicado throughout our stay. The kitchen was far too small for the size of house, and completely disorganised. We had to wash most things before we used them.
All in all, a very substandard property. Aserious complaint has gone to the agent, who assured us that all would be well. It wasn?t. DO NOT BOOK.

A very disappointing property
This house had a lot going for it. Located inside the city walls of Caernarfron. With a wonderful dinning room and plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. It was described as "superb" on the Sykes website.
Unfortunatly it wasn't clean, smelt and was very run down.
The balcony that overlooked the Menai Straights which should have been the best feature of the house had two benches with flaking paint, a rusty barbecue and a few dirty plastic chairs.
As we had 4 children under the age of 8 in our party,we were concerned about the glass in the doors in the rear lounge which came down to the floor an wasn't safety glass.
With a good clean and a modest amount of money spent on it this could be a "superb" property, but at the moment it certainly isn't.

Isfryn was fabulous, warm and welcoming with a friendly owner. We liked the variety of bedrooms, bathrooms and sauna. We particularly liked the location, amenities, local shops and tourist attractions amazing and so close. All perfect.
