The property is able to sleep eight people over four bedrooms – two twin rooms and two doubles, one of which is en suite and has a wealth of original and unique features.

Three miles from the Dales town of Bentham, in a wonderful secluded location, is this stunning farmhouse – a traditional, stone-built detached dwelling. With panoramic countryside views, this lovely cottage is full of character and boasts old beams, a fabulous stone floor and staircase and a lovely wood-burning stove in a magnificent feature fireplace. Outdoors is a picturesque patio area which overlooks a charming wooded dale and babbling brook. The local countryside provides wonderful walking routes across the moors, whilst village amenities in nearby Bentham offer everything a holidaymaker could need. This is an excellent base for families, couples or friends looking to explore Lancashire and Yorkshire.

Spacious cottage but in need of a thorough clean and some maintenance.
We stayed here over the New Year as party of 8 adults. The property is spacious and the surroundings very picturesque. The cottage needed a good clean with dirty skirting boards, cobwebs in the rooms , dirty and mouldy window frames and stained sinks and toilets and grouting missing from the tiling in the en suite. The downstairs shower looked so stained and the drain smelt that we never used it. The water does come from a bore hole and can therefore be discoloured and the property is served by a septic tank and prevents the use of bleach, however lemon juice, white vinegar and bicarbonate of soda would all remove any staining caused by the water. The cottage cost ?1600 to rent and as such we expected a better standard of cleanliness and maintenance.

The cottage was in a stunning, idyllic, remote, rural location and was even better than we'd imagined. The cottage was very spacious with plenty of rooms for us to relax in and was great for the children, with lots of hiding places. It was kept very well with great facilities and very clean.

The cottage provided an excellent space for a family holiday; accommodating both young and old. The views and location were awesome. A thoroughly enjoyable holiday with excellent family time .
Mrs Doherty

The cottage and the views were stunning, being on the working farm was fantastic! We had everything we needed in the cottage and it was warm when we arrived! The 7 of us had a great time and will almost definitely come again!
Miss Thomson

A beautifully appointed farmhouse in a stunning location. It felt like 'coming home'.
