Great Cottage, Rude Owner
Wonderful cottage in a nice area. we had to hoover up on arrival as it hadn?t been done for us, but that didn?t phase us as it only took minutes. Aside from that we had a lovely weeks holiday, we even talked about re booking for next year. However this was short lived thanks to messages sent to us by the owner Shula not long after we left, stating that she was disappointed in the way that we left the cottage. We did all of the dishes and put them away expect for 1 plate which was accidentally forgotten about. We tidied every room, emptied the bins, hoovered again, sweeped the floors, Stripped the beds, left notes on which towels hadn?t been used as asked. Shula told us we should of left that cottage as we found it (which we did) to keep the standard high, and that we had no respect and created more work for her to do when shes on a tight time schedule. we actually left before 9.30am, when check out is not until 10am, and the next check in is not until 3pm. So Shula had at least 5 hours to set the standard for the next guest, although all that was left to do was to put fresh bedding on the beds. We paid ?1500 for this holiday, it is not our job to get the cottage ready for the next guests. Shula clearly expects the guests to do before they leave what she should do once they have checked out. Definitely will not be returning. We left on a high, but arrived home feeling deflated. Such a shame.

Terribly rude
We arrived to a beautiful scenic cottage. We were so thrilled with the amount of little touches that the owners had thought about (drink and cake available, abundance of toys for kids, plenty of games and books) However carpets were very untidy and hadn't been hoovered (when I had my socks on they were gathering a lot of hairs on my feet. Throughout the stay we were enjoying ourselves and then at the end of the holidays it asks you to strip the bedding for the owners. (Which I thought shouldn't be our job whilst we are on holiday, but still adhered to this) Before we left we tidied up the cottage, hoovered downstairs, swept up cleaned kitchen etc as I wouldn't like to leave a mess. The owners messaged my mother in law (who booked it) saying she was disappointed in how we left it?!said There was bowl full of dishes...we actually admittedly realised we left ONE PLATE, massive apologies!!! When a cottage states 'leave the cottage as it was left for you'.....Long story short she expected us to wash the bedding and dry it ready for her next guest??I was absolutely baffled and disgusted when we'd made an effort to tidy (even when we shouldn't be expected to!) ?1500 spent on this cottage and it is not our job to prepare the cottage for the next guests it really disappointed us as we were ready to book again for next year but we will not be returning. So rude and terrible service, lazy owners. Messages tagged in the images.

Outstanding 5 star accommodation
We have just returned for a second stay at this delightful converted barn. We were a group of 9 hiking friends who stay in various accommodation every month. Warth Barn is the best holiday cottage we have ever stayed in. From the moment you arrive you know you are very welcome, with a freshly made cake and drinks waiting for you on the table. The kitchen is extremely well equipped and in the basement there is a drying room with washing machine and tumble dryer. This is a large dining table able to seat 10 as well as a very large corner sofa with plenty of room for everyone, good size TV, games and a log burner, The bedrooms and bathrooms are immaculately presented, plenty of hot water and heating. We stayed during the coldest night of the year and the place was extremely cosy. We will continue to return each year,

Brilliant all you could want accommodation
We have just returned after a weekend stay at Warth Barn for a family member?s 70th birthday. There were ten of us staying (6 adults & 4 children aged 5-12) in this beautifully equipped and homely converted barn. Everything you could need was provided, including ample space, lots of bathrooms, a variety of guide books and games as well as a lovely gift left for our arrival. I can not recommend the property enough and I am certain that we will stay again as a family.

Lovely, cosy, barn , beautiful surroundings.
Just returned from a week at Warth Barn. My friend & I had booked the barn to celebrate our special birthdays this year and wanted it to be a lovely treat for our party of 8. We were not disappointed. From opening the door we were greeted by warm, cosy accomodation, a welcoming card, cake & wine left by the owner. After choosing our bedrooms, all modern, cosy & immaculately clean we explored the kitchen, lounge. There was every utencil you could wish for in the lovely kitchen & the lounge overlooked beautiful scenery. We had many happy evenings around the long table, cheese nights, gin nights, games nights & for those amongst us who wanted to relax & read there was lovely comfortable seating. We didn't move our cars all week, allowing us to enjoy a nice drink at the end of the day at the Mason Arms, just at the end of the lane (torch required for walks home in the dark), very friendly staff & nice food. We also enjoyed a walk to the farm shop, and on to the Marton Arms, can highly recommend the Slingsby rhubarb gin, served beautifully with enough raspberries to meet your 5 a day!!! If you don't fancy that they have another 51 to choose from!! The early birds amongst us enjoyed a morning walk once it got light, setting off with a nod from the 2 sheep in the garden to see us on our way!! A brisk circuit around Ingleton village with a call off at the bakery ( serving from 7am) to buy delicious bread, pasties, pies , bacon & sausage sandwiches made for a good start to the day! We took the bus to Kirby Lonsdale, well worth a visit and also enjoyed another bus ride to Settle and caught the train to Ribblehead to see the amazing viaduct up close. The Ingleton waterfalls trail was superb, well worth ?6, sturdy footwear definitely needed & well earned pint at the end! A mention must go to Ingleton Tandoori for the tasty but VERY hot Madras, we enjoyed our poppadoms & pickles, thank you!! A great week was had by our gang & I would recommend Warth Barn to anyone of my family & friends as a superb base, could not fault it.
