Nicely appointed cottage with great views
Situated on the edge of the National Park, the cottage had spectacular views across the adjacent fields and we were pleased that, in this area, the A68 was not busy. The kitchen was well appointed and the cooker was a masterful piece of equipment, promoting some excellent home cooking! The lounge (and adjacent conservatory) was large and the sofa a great place to relax in front of the log fire after a day spent touring the area.

Excellent location
We don't ask a lot from a cottage holiday ,it has to be clean ,it has to be comfortable, it has to be in a good location and central for day's out ,crag cottage has all these things plus a lovely village pub with the friendliest people you could ever wish to meet . We look forward to going again in 2018.

Lovely cottage, great location
This cottage was exactly like the photos - it didn't disappoint! Kitchen and bathroom were very clean and well stocked and anything else we needed (milk, bread etc) was available a few doors down the road at the local shop. This was the first time we had visited Northumberland and chose it after we had had rave reviews from friends. They were absolutely right. Stunning scenery, more to do than we could fit into a few months let alone a week! As previously stated there were no towels in the cottage, but to be honest, I would have taken my own anyway. The owner had left a very useful file of places to eat, visit and walk to. Definitely recommend it and we would go back again soon. Would also recommend the waterfall in Bellingham and "Cragside" near Rothbury as places to visit if you have not been before.
