Cosy cottage in a beautiful location
The cottage was really welcoming; clean, comfortable, warm and cosy.
We cook a lot when we're away and the kitchen was a good size and well equipped. The fridge is on the small side but was fine for the two of us.
It's in a beautiful peaceful location and the views from every room are stunning.
Lots to see and do; we went exploring all over the island but always looked forward to getting home in the late afternoon to settle down for a quiet evening.
I can see us returning, it really is a little slice of heaven.

Good base for touring Skye but........
OK it's not perfect by any means but I enjoyed our stay here. It's located virtually at the end of the single track road up to the hotel but far enough away from the hotel that you definitely feel isolated. It's situation is terrific on top of the cliffs and overlooking the sea loch. If peace and quiet is what your after this is for you.
The cottage was ready on our arrival, it's comfortsble but in need of some TLC if I?m honest. Several lights not working decor that's seen better days, cracked floor tiles worn out pans etc but the heating worked as did all the electrical appliances and there was plenty of hot water too. It's equipped with everything you will need for your holiday but don't bother taking lots of food as the fridge is small and you can get your groceries in the coop at Portree and other places too.
You?ve probably read that you can use the boats on the adjoining loch and fish too but be warned fishing is only during certain times and when we went down to the boat house one couple were out in one rowing boat and the other one was under water! Yep, it had sunk.
Overall we enjoyed our stay but there's room for some serious improvement.

Terrible
Terrible service. Multiple calls and emails to owner, no response.
No heating - the place is extremely windy and cold.
No hot water in the shower.
Old place that looks nothing like the photos of the interior - do not waste your money.

The tranquillity and scenery around the Cottage was top notch. Couldn't fault our holiday at all. Hope to be back some time in the future.
