Lovely setting but disappointing facilities
The cottage is in a beautiful spot with great views and adjoins the old farmhouse next door. Whilst the interior is finished to a reasonably good standard we felt let down by some inadequate facilities: It would seem the water main is shared with the next door property as that had a large family staying in it when we were there and this meant the water pressure was insufficient to get more than a warm trickle out of the upstairs shower. We couldn?t use it. The downstairs bathroom hot water is supplied from a small tank with an immersion heater which provides enough for a 5 minute shower or a few inches of hot water in the bath. The tank took half an hour to reheat so showering 4 people in the morning takes nearly two hours. The few inches of hot water in the bath goes almost cold waiting for the water to heat up for some more. The tank is just too small. The sofas had seen better days and offered no support. The underfloor electric heating had shrunk the wooden floor panels opening up small gaps in places and I cut a toe on one. The symbols on the kitchen hob had worn off so a bit of guesswork was needed to work out how to operate it. The cutlery was an odd collection of old assorted cheap bendy stuff some of which was not clean and bizarrely included two pairs of surgical forceps. The living room especially needed a good clean with fluff and dust on the floor. Some may see these as minor problems but for the money we were charged we felt a bit disappointed.

The cottage was in a beautiful, very quiet setting with beautiful views over the estuary towards Tywyn. It was perfectly positioned for walking and cycling from the door. I would thoroughly recommend this property.

There were fantastic views from the cottage of the hills, the Dysynni estuary, and the sea in the distance. A very peaceful location. The cottage had a spacious living room, and overall felt cosy and comfortable. An excellent base for exploring the area.

This was an excellent holiday cottage, very comfortable and well equipped for our needs. An isolated cottage with lovely views. We would certainly stay here again!
