Cosy cottage in a beautiful location
We had a wonderful fortnight in this warm cottage situated among the sheep. Its proximity to the A66 made it easy to have day trips to places like the Lake District, York, Durham, Newcastle, Hadrian's Wall and the Yorkshire Dales of course! The cottage itself was warm and well equipped. The neighbours were very friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Definitely a place I would recommend!

Peaceful, relaxing break
We stayed in this lovely cottage for a week and it very peaceful and pretty. All the usual mod cons and the neighbours (Lizzie and Tony) who look after the cottage were friendly and great. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the location is excellent for the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District. If you want a quiet, relaxing break, this cottage is recommended.

Very comfortable cottage with lots of character in magnificent location
We enjoyed our week very much in this lovely old cottage which is full of character, and located in stunning wild open countryside. Facilities were good, and we particularly liked having the wood burning stove going in the evenings. There are so many wonderful places to visit: the Eden Valley is really beautiful, and the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District are easy day trips. We took a ride from Kirkby Stephen to Settle on the Settle-Carlisle Railway, and the scenery along the way is breathtaking. The week went too quickly!

Remote, cosy little cottage and just what we were looking for. This is the second time that we have stayed here and have loved every minute of our holiday. A little corner of heaven here. It is a truly magical place. We were sad to leave and come home but are booking up for a return visit next year.

Our contacts at the property were wonderful people and helped make our stay even better. They are to be commended for their enthusiasm and attention to the guests of the property. The gardens were impressive and showed that a lot of hard work had gone in to tending the enclosure. We appreciated and respected the eco ambitions of the property and had a very restful stay.
