Wonderful accommodation in the perfect location
We have stayed at The Annexe for the last 4 years - and we think it's just perfect! We are always assured of a warm welcome, and there is everything we need for a comfortable stay. Everything is spotlessly clean and well kept. The kitchen has a double oven and hob, microwave and everything you'd need to make a nice meal. A dining table and comfy sofa in the living room/dining area, complete with TV, DVD Player and stereo provide plenty of indoor relaxation, and a patio window opens onto a quiet outdoor area where one can chill out with a nice drink. The bathroom has a really good shower unit, and again everything is spotless. Upstairs there is a decent sized wardrobe, plenty of drawer space and a comfortable double bed with fresh bedding. As the property is within a private courtyard, it's very quiet and peaceful too. The owner only lives next door, so if anything is needed help is not far away. The Annexe is located in Topcliffe, a gorgeous village with a Post Office and Convenience Store, a couple of pubs/restaurants and farms selling local produce. There are also good links to the local area and nearby attractions. Locationwise, there is Thirsk nearby, offering a large array of local, independent shops, cafes and restaurants. Northallerton is not far and has a lovely market twice a week. The North Yorkshire Moors aren't far away, so if walking and cycling is your thing, you'll be spoilt for choice. And of course, York is only half an hour away with a wealth of history, shops, bars, restaurants and museums. This is perfect for a couple, or a single holidaymaker, an ideal base from which amazing memories can be made! We'll be back!

As we were visiting friends in the area, this lovely annex was the ideal base. It is perfect for exploring many parts of North Yorkshire, from countryside to coast.

The property was decorated and furnished to a very high standard, it was spotlessly clean and contained everything we could possibly have needed. Our first impressions lead us to believe the property was brand new, it wasn't until we read through the comments book that we realised it was actually three years old - it certainly didn't look it! The owner and her daughter were friendly and very helpful. The cottage is in the perfect location for exploring both the Dales and the Moors. We would definitely consider booking again and would recommend to friends and family.

In a great location for exploring the Dales, North York Moors and coastline and also the Vale of York towns and stately homes. This cosy cottage is tucked away in a peaceful location - perfect for a couple to relax in. There are loads of good places to eat nearby including the local Angel Inn. We were very fortunate with our weather in Easter week with wall to wall sunshine - an added bonus to a great week's holiday.

Cosy, warm & clean, a great base to explore the area. The owner was very friendly and not intrusive at all.
