Tranquil Escape
Easy to find, even though in the depths of the Welsh countryside, about 10 miles from Aberystwyth. The cottage was well apportioned with all that you would need, plenty of useful crockery, cutlery and cooking aids. The dishwasher was a bonus.
The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of storage, having two bathrooms was also a useful extra.
The Summerhouse was our favourite even when the weather was not at it's best, the views from here and the cottage itself were excellent. Seeing the "Kites" flying daily was quite an amazing sight.
Would not hesitate to re-book for a quiet away from it all escape.

An exceptional place to get away from daily life and relax. Not too remote but nice.

The views, the wood burner, proximity to great walking country and the sea, the remoteness (it is VERY remote).

Quiet Bliss
I booked this cottage on line, and was hugely delighted! Situated about 20 minutes [10 miles] from Aberystwyth, the cottage [semi detached] is set in the beautiful rolling hills to the east of the town. Everything was as described: lovely open plan living area downstairs with a fabulous log-burner [and a constant easy supply of logs for a very reasonable price!]; the kitchen was well stocked with equipment, as well as a few basics to get you started!
The dining area was comfy; the bedrooms were great - lovely soft beds and plenty of storage. The bathrooms were really well fitted out in beautiful [local?] slate.
The garden was on several levels and also had a Summer House which provided spectacular views of the surroundings.
We took our Cocker Spaniel with us who just loved everything - the garden, the fire, the walks and the sheep.
Must mention the huge number of Red kites that were always present around the house and hills - everywhere you went - quite breath-taking.
The cottage was really central and accessible for lots of local activities and trips, of which we were able to participate. It was very well priced - considering we went in half term.
For a couple of teachers - it was peaceful, relaxing bliss!! Thoroughly recommended!

A nice cottage in a good location - excellent views and a nice garden to enjoy them. The summer house with comfy furniture meant you could sit out even if the weather is not good. The cottage was well equipped and comfortable, our dogs really enjoyed it.
