This property is situated on the northern edge of Dartmoor famed for its stunning views wild beauty and of course the resident wild ponies. There is something for everyone to enjoy here whether you are looking for gentle strolls in beautiful countryside more challenging hikes exploring historic buildings such as Castle Drogo or simply cosying up in welcoming pubs. Right on the doorstep within easy walking distance of the property is the simply beautiful Meldon Reservoir where visitors can enjoy scenic walks or try their hand at fishing for brown trout.
Just 2 miles from the property the town of Okehampton offers a choice of supermarkets as well as takeaways and a small range of shops. This lodge-style property is accessed via a small flight of external wooden steps which bring guests straight into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. This light-filled room has a contemporary feel with its tasteful styling feature fire comfortable sofas and dining table seating four.
For entertainment purposes there is a TV/DVD. Overlooking the seating area the kitchen area is well-equipped with an oven hob fridge/freezer and dishwasher. Large patio doors allow guests to open-up this area in the warmer months extending the living space out onto the decked terrace.
The first of the property s two bedrooms is a double room with plentiful storage space TV and an en-suite WC whilst the second bedroom is a comfortable twin room. The main bathroom has a shower-over-bath and WC. Outside the decked terrace makes a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the sunshine with a drink at the end of the day.
A table and chairs also make it possible for guests to enjoy alfresco meals. There is a pub next door to the site which offers children s playground and restaurant and a sauna at additional cost. There is also space for camping available by arrangement should you be coming with a bigger party than the property allows.
