Fantastic cottage in a beautiful area
This is an absolutely fantastic cottage in a beautiful area. The cottage itself is very comfortable, spacious and tastefully decorated. The living room comfortably seats 5 with 2 small sofas and a tub chair, the kitchen is spacious and very well equipped making it easy to whip up a family meal after a day sightseeing. The dining table seats 6 easily. We were especially pleased to see that there was more than ample cutlery and dinnerware meaning that we never ran out of teaspoons even when the dishwasher was full! The spacious utility room houses a freezer, washer/dryer, downstairs WC, along with ironing board, iron, airer, outdoor furniture, hoover, brooms and baby equipment. Everything you need to make it a home from home! It is also large enough to house a buggy and/or bikes. Upstairs are 3 very comfortable bedrooms, a good sized family bathroom with large bath and an en suite with a fantastic large shower. The Juliet balcony in the main bedroom is perfect for sunny days. I thoroughly enjoyed some 'me' time reading with the doors open, overlooking the beautiful fields while my family played cards downstairs. We were lucky enough to have lovely weather all week and enjoyed many breakfasts and dinners on the decking in the back garden. The cottage also has a good stock of books and several very good books detailing the history of the area and places of local interest. The village of Clun is a lovely, friendly place to visit, with 2 pubs, a small takeaway, butchers, hardware store, fantastic gift shop, tearoom, coffee shop, Spar and small shop offering essentials. Clun castle is well worth a visit. The centre of Clun is less than a 10 minute walk from the cottage with a path all the way, although the first part is currently overgrown and very difficult with a wheelchair. The road however is not particularly busy. We enjoyed visits to Craven Arms, a short drive away. There is a Tuffin's supermarket which has the usual supermarket items along with lots of lovely locally sourced items. There are also several takeaways should you not feel like cooking. Ludlow is a beautiful town to visit, along with the castle. We popped into Ludlow Food Centre on the way home. It again has lots of lovely local produce and the Ludlow Food Kitchen serves delicious meals. They also cater for a gluten free diet which made my daughter very happy! We also visited Acton Scott working farm, Aberystwyth, Shrewsbury and Leominster. There are any more places we would have liked to visit but ran out of time! There is so much to see and do and this is a fantastic base to travel from. We will definitely be booking again soon!

Easily met our expectations
This impressive end of terrace cottage is situated nicely on the edge of Clun - a small village, but within easy walking distance of the centre. We chose it principally because it is ideally situated for our week walking the surrounding Shropshire Hills. We found the cottage to be exactly as advertised and depicted on the web description. It is modernised, very clean and tidy, well appointed and has everything within it that we needed. We did not do much cooking but there were plenty of utensils. All the basics (sometimes missing in rentals) like washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets and toilet rolls were provided. The cottage and everything within it were in good condition. For our specific needs it ticked all the boxes, these were; central to the Shropshire Hills, within walking distance of a village centre including a pub, included Wi-Fi and off road parking. There are two pubs in the village both offering local beers (in once case brewed on the premises) and food. There is also a small supermarket with lengthy opening hours. The only possible downside for some - though not us, might be that the small rear garden (with a magnificiant rural aspect) is half decking and half stones - there would be nowhere with grass for young children to play. This proved to be an excellent choiuce and we recommend it.

A totaly Beautiful cottage would recommend to anyone
The location just outside clun is Beautiful. Its location is ideal to explore the county of Shropshire. The cottage is very well designed and equipped but most of all was above are expectations for cleanlyness and shows the owners decorative flair

The cottage was comfortable and welcoming and we felt very relaxed and at home in it. The views are great and we especially liked the french doors and Juliet Balcony in the master bedroom.

A very nice cottage with all the facilities you could wish for. Had a very efficient and friendly owner, our thanks go to her for an enjoyable stay. Clun is an old English village with a great pub and the surrounding area is quintessentially English countryside - beautiful.
