Peace, Quiet & Excellent Facilities
Cottage is literally in the middle of nowhere, although there is a mobile home park adjacent. Only one was occupied when we stayed and we never saw them. The cottage is on a working farm but we were never disturbed by anyone or anything. Kendal is about 6 miles away for any food shopping needs. We had a lovely quiet Xmas and felt totally relaxed throughout. The interior is clean and very well appointed with a jacuzzi bath and shower. Plenty of kitchen utensils, pots/pans etc.

A very quiet retreat
Pip's hideaway is a great place to stay. It is modern, super clean, comfortable, has parking and basically everything you need for a self catering break. It is quiet and I mean really quiet which was really nice as we began our special o/s holiday. It was so nice to be able to cook whenever we wanted to. After the last hotel we stayed at the shower at Pip's was brilliant. There are no negatives to this property, they have done an amazing job. Then there are the ?extra? touches. Flowers, milk, tea, coffee, sugar, drinking chocolate, Peppermint Cake. Contacting the owner was easy and any questions or requests were responded to really quickly. Coming from Australia we were challenged by the road to the cottage but UK residents are probably used to them. We would recommend the cottage to anyone wanting to stay in this area. There is lots to see and do.

Lovely peaceful location, beautiful cottage.
If you're looking for a totally relaxing break in a beautiful spot, you should consider Pips Retreat. Beautifully furnished, well equipped cottage. We felt completely at home from the first moment. My only reservations would be the very narrow and risky roads leading to the property, where it is impossible for vehicles to pass at many locations. Negotiating these roads became quite an ordeal, particularly as this was necessary every time we went out/came back.
