This wonderful barn conversion is situated on the edge of the Lake District National Park and sleeps two people.

Pip's Hideaway is a superb cottage, on a working farm in the hamlet of Selside, 5 miles from Kendal. This cottage sleeps two people in one ground floor king-size double bedroom. The cottage also has a ground floor bathroom and a first floor open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with woodburning stove.

Outside there is ample off road parking, a front lawned garden and a rear, private decked area with furniture. Pip's Hideaway is an ideal romantic retreat, close to the stunning Lake District National Park.

What a stunning little place to stay over. We had a possibility to stay for 2 nights, gorgeous, clean, warm and welcoming place. Close to Kendal, and Windermere. Very much recommended!

Lovely peaceful location, beautiful cottage.
If you're looking for a totally relaxing break in a beautiful spot, you should consider Pips Retreat. Beautifully furnished, well equipped cottage. We felt completely at home from the first moment. My only reservations would be the very narrow and risky roads leading to the property, where it is impossible for vehicles to pass at many locations. Negotiating these roads became quite an ordeal, particularly as this was necessary every time we went out/came back.

Perfect stay!
This house is beautiful inside and out! It is great for people who want a home away from home. The roads leading up to Pip's Hideaway are small lanes but the hedges\fencing are quite low so it is easy to see if anything is approaching, there are also lots of lay-bys to pull into. Locals are very friendly. It is decorated well and very spacious throughout. The bedroom and bathroom are on the ground floor, bath was so relaxing! The kitchen and living space has a great atmosphere and is set out well, facilities are good and cleaning products are supplied which is a great touch. I will definitely recommend to our friends and family. Thank you for a lovely break!

Great place to stay, shame about exit and the entry!
Pips Hideaway is a very pleasant place to stay indeed. The accommodation was spacious and very modern, comfortable and warm. The only downside to staying there is the single track roads one has to travel down to get in and out of the farm! On the farm they always give way and are dab hands at reversing and are extremely courteous in doing so. However once out of the farm and making the 2 mile journey along these single track roads to the main roads, when you come across other cars coming the other way, as we did, 5 times in one journey; the other cars stay rooted to the spot and it is you who have to reverse someway to find the last placing place not always easy when you don't know the road and have a seat belt fastened and absolutely treacherous in the dark! For that reason and that reason only, I would not go back to Pips Hideaway for another holiday.
