The cottage itself is upside down, childrens and a double bedroom on ground floor, kitchen and living room upstairs with another bedroom (the main one really with ensuite) . The cottage had EVERYTHING you could ever need. I even found a sewing kit which was very useful. Owners thoughtfully left milk and tea / coffee etc as well as cake and Halloween themed decorations and chocolates for the kids. Beds are clean and comfortable, mattresses are in 'as new' excellent condition (yes, we looked) . This cottage is attached to others, one to the side and two more behind. It is easy to park and the games room was useful for dvds on an evening and games.

The location of this property is excellent lovely walks from the front door and views over Bassenthwaite lake. The gardens were excellent with plenty of choice of where to sit outside with coffee and cake or lunch. There was wildlife in abundance lots of red squirrels cuckoo's and other bird life. The red telephone is at the rear of the property and they are set back down a lovely track. Lots of beautiful flowers. Great open plan living that has recently all been updated (the pics definitely don't do it justice) we went with my Dad who is registered disabled and once up the stairs he had everything he needed in one place. Definitely worth a visit

I thought the site was extremely picturesqe and well maintained. The cottage had been decorated for Christmas and was extremely welcoming. The heating was good, even though we obviously went in the middle of winter we never felt cold. The laundry room was a God send, particularly as we had a dog, wellington boots, coats galore to accommodate and it was cold enough to store food and drinks over the course of our stay. The owners were so helpful and friendly and we felt we could have approached them easily if anything had gone wrong.

A fantastic location with beautiful views and great walks all around. It was a brilliant family accommodation with plenty of room for all the family to enjoy. The accommodation was very clean, well equipped and beautifully decorated with some nice quirky touches. All round it was an excellent accommodation and good value for money.

I enjoyed being in peaceful countryside, being able to walk from the house and not too far from Keswick. The house was comfortable and for once it was nice to not have to worry about parking.
