It is in a great location for walking several Wainwrights. The cottage has plenty of character and is in a very peaceful location.

The cottage 'Skiddaw' oozes the charm and cosiness that one could hope for as a getaway destination for Christmas. Walking in, one could really leave any chaos behind and settle in for a calming and restful stay. The cottage however does provide an excellent location to explore the heart of the Lake District and should you feel up for it, walks for all abilities.

Location was fantastic. Views good. Games room great. Bike storage great. Quiet. Close enough to pub to walk. Lots of hot water. Lovely touch leaving cake & fresh eggs, milk etc. nice touch leaving cleaning products.

The location is excellent for the Northern Lakes and has stunning views from the property. The overall site is well maintained plus has a large stock of DVDs and videos, and a games room to keep one entertained for when the weather is not so good.
