As good as the Photo's suggest.
Robin Hoods Bay is a place from History and a little bit of Heaven. This stunning Bay has amenities for most, Lovely Local Pubs, Good Ale and Food, Clean Public Toilets, and a Panoramic Bay that doesn't seem to have changed since my last visit as a child in 1947 / 8 / 9. Lot's of steep Pathways and lovely Cottages to see, if you are a walker. But the Bay as a whole, oozes peace. The Cottage was just lovely, the place we sometimes dream of retiring to. Everything was provided just needed to move in with some food from the little lovely local shop,(20 yards away), that seemed to have everything, from a Bucket & Spade to Newspapers, a wide range of Food, and run by lovely owners.

Had a superb holiday. The accommodation was lovely - full of character and very well equipped with all manner of crockery and cutlery. The house was very warm and we loved the little conservatory area. Although we had good weather and didn't need to use it to shelter from the rain, it was a lovely light place to sit after a day out - and great for me as I like to crochet and need good light for that. We will really miss our little bolt hole in the Bay.

The cottage was exactly as we hoped and was very comfortable and homely. Just about everything was perfect, we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay and will definitely come back.

We had an excellent week, 4 Martins Row is right in the middle of Robin Hoods Bay, The bright conservatory meant that you felt you were outside in all weathers. Excellent pub next door called The Laurel Inn. Fantastic coastal walks to Roscar and Whitby.

An adequate stop-over - but lacked seaviews and space in bad weather
This cottage was labelled 'Quirky' and that it is! The very steep spiral stairway leading one to 3 floors is hazardous.Bedrooms are very comfortable , but dirty windows prevented us enjoying the only distant view! Irequested more hand rails at access points to the stairs as they were dangerous for us elderlies Heating and TV were effective however the fridge was not plugged into the wall socket - so our weeks meat supply was endangered. Very unfortunate. We excelled ourselves with country walks and beach coves and jet hunts as well as road trips to the .WC Rugby. Sadly the cottage lacks comfortable seating for 4 in the lounge and more so a view of the sea - just a host of downpipes from the victorian era.!! delightful as they were. However the neighbouring tightly presented Fisherman homes and gardens were delightful
