Fabulous home !!!!
Wonderfully well equipped home. Even extras for the dogs. The owner was very helpful on the surrounding area. Lots of walks in the area. There is a busy road very close but that did not spoil our stay, the approaching drive is very steep with a sharp turn right but it was ok. Great secure garden for the dogs plenty of parking. The cottage is very spacious and a real home from home. This is one of the best cottages I've stayed in.

We had a wonderful holiday - to call this a cottage is a gross understatement! It is a beautiful house in gorgeous surroundings, perfect for a relaxing holiday. I wish I could wave a magic wand and transfer it to my garden! Nobody could ask for more, everything we needed & more was provided!

An excellent choice for a family holiday (including the dog!)
If you are looking for a clean, cosy-but-spacious, pet friendly cottage, this is the one for you. The location combines the benefits of easy access from the A52 with being only 2 minutes drive from scenic country roads to the nearby attractions of Derbyshire. (Leaving the property by car is, however, to be taken extremely carefully due to the steep drive which exits directly on to the A52). For the kids, Alton Towers is also literally a 15 minute scenic drive away. We tried several pubs in the area, but our best meals (and beer!) were enjoyed at the Railway Inn, 2 minutes walk down the road. The cottage is equipped with just about everything you need for day to day living, and the garden has good views and is very safe for even the smallest dog. We will return!!

Perfect location for exploring locally or further into the Peak District
The accomodation was perfect for 3 couples, each room was spacious, with comfy beds, and the size of the lounge, dining table and kitchen meant we could all hang out, eat and cook together, without getting in one another's way. The house had everything we needed and it was so nice that the basics were there to get the holiday started, such as spare loo roll, hand soap and bin bags - little things I know, but they make a difference! From the property it's really easy to get to Froghall Wharf; where loads of different circular and linear walks start. We explored this area around the canals, river, railway and woodlands, and would highly recommend others do the same. It's easy, beautiful walking - with pubs en-route. We'll be back again!
