This wonderful converted threshing barn near Zeal Monachorum close to Crediton sleeps five people in three bedrooms.

Lake View is a quality barn conversion close to Zeal Monachorum, a tiny village less than 10 miles from Crediton. The cottage has a double, a twin and a single room, a bathroom, ground floor cloakroom and an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area. Outside is off road parking for two cars and a paddock with orchard.

Guests can also stroll to the stream and fishing lake to soak up the countryside setting. Lake View is close enough to Crediton or Exeter to offer amenities and shopping, but is also surrounded by excellent walking and cycling and of course, breathtaking scenery.

Just what we needed
Lovely place! Lovely area! Clean house with great views (when it wasn?t raining!) warm and cozy when we needed it to be! Really lovely and welcoming owners! Really accommodating! Nice old barn 500 years old, interesting window placement upstairs, but possibly as the exterior needed to be left unchanged! Great having access to the lake for fishing! (Rod licence required!) shop nearby that serves lovely pasties! Would come again!

Excellent Cottage
We booked this cottage for a week in May and it was lovely, this barn has been converted to a very high standard, there is everything you need, washing machine, dish washer, iron, ironing board etc, it was very clean and well furnished and comfortable, it was very warm - we turned the heating off so I think it would be cosy in winter time, our hosts were very friendly and welcoming, the view from the cottage of the lake was lovely, bed was very comfortable, plenty of towels provided, parking space, we found the horses in the next field very entertaining, the cottage is in a good position for exploring Devon, we went to several National Trust Properties. The road to the farm is narrow and bumpy but not a problem, lots of the roads in Devon are very narrow with high hedges, the Co-op which is the nearest shop is actually bigger than it looks and very well stocked, we enjoyed some good quality meals at the Tom Cobley pub a short drive away. We would recommend this cottage and would certainly return in the future.

An amazing place with wonderful owners. Will be returning.

The accommodation was outstanding. Highly recommended.

We loved the grounds of the holiday home - the stables and ponies, the fields with sheep, the ability to take a nice long walk through the countryside. We loved being situated so that we could go to both Exmoor park and Dartmoor park. But we most like the owner and their family. They were accommodating, helpful, and treated us as very special guests.
