A delightful, large house, sleeping up to ten people in four bedrooms in the South Wales village of Burry Port.

Blaen Y Cwm is a lovely, large, detached house on the outskirts of Burry Port, and sleeps up to ten people. With four bedrooms, two twins and two doubles, one with a dressing room and en-suite, as well as a bathroom and a ground floor shower room, there is space for all the party. Downstairs there is a sitting room with woodburner, a snug with double sofabed and woodburner, and a kitchen with dining area and woodburner. Outside, there are enclosed gardens, patios, decked area, a 'cave' and off road parking. Blaen Y Cwm is a great family holiday home for exploring this fabulous part of South wales.

Average cottage, great view
The view from this property is spectacular, looking directly across to the Gower Peninsular. But the cottage itself we found disappointing. Having stayed in many self catering cottages before, we found this lacking in quality and just not what we have come to expect and enjoyed from cottages at this sort of price level. Kitchen equipment/cutlery drawer not clean, no coffee table in lounge (although potentially could be 8 people staying here), no information folder with useful local info/places to eat etc.....all things that should really be provided as standard.

This property is lovely, we had the fire lit every night, it was so cosy. The views are amazing, overlooking Burry Port with sea views. The owners were lovely too, and will do anything to help you. I highly recommend this property to anyone and will definitely book here again if in the area.

Cosy cottage and a great location
We had a lovely weekend at the cottage, perfect for getting friends or extended family together and it had everything we needed! Great location for all sorts of activities, we went for a walk along the coast and visited the dry ski slopes.

A very cosy, well equipped cottage. Within walking distance of the beach which is what we wanted. Very dog friendly which is important to us and the owners were excellent. Overall a lovely weekend away, even in horrible winter weather.

Fabulous house!
We have just returned home from a three night stay at this great house. We were a party of eight, plus one dog. We found the property to be everything we could have asked for. Lots of space, comfy beds, nice and warm with the heating on. Kitchen well equipped, could have done with some more wine glasses! It is situated high up above Burry Port giving a spectacular sea view. Easy walking down to the harbour and beach, hard work coming back uphill, but we're all fit so not a problem. I have to say though, it is more than 15 minutes walk to the beach. We walked at speed and it took almost 25 minutes. The town is rather run down and no actual restaurants but if you like pub food or take away then you'll be ok. Great time enjoyed by all.
