This detached cottage is located in the North Yorkshire village of Appersett near Hawes and can sleep three people in two bedrooms.

East House is a detached stone-built cottage in the small village of Appersett near to Hawes in the Yorkshire Dales. The cottage sleeps three people and has a first floor king-size double bedroom and a single bedroom on the ground floor, a fitted kitchen with a dining area and a sitting room with an open fire. Outside is off road parking for two cars and an enclosed garden with outdoor furniture.

Set in beautiful Yorkshire Dales countryside, East House is a superb cottage for a romantic retreat any time of the year.

A disappointing and awkward stay
Whilst the countryside location in Appersett is lovely, this cottage does not support a walking holiday. Boasting 17thC appeal, the cottage character is supported by the rusty bath, mouldy curtains, dirty and stained toilets, and the silverfish infested cupboards add period authenticity. It's just NOT the place to have a relaxing bath and dry your clothes after a long day on the hill, and battling with dirty kitchenware sends you out in search of a pleasant pub. All this assumes you can fight your way into the property through the tangle of weed and undergrowth from the cruelly neglected garden. Not recommended.

A lovely quaint cottage, perfect for a quiet weekend away.
Mrs Fenna

This is such a cosy cottage in a lovely, quiet location. Only a short walk into Hawes, it was fabulous. We particularly loved the under floor heating.
Mrs Best

Very nice cottage, wonderful location and well equipped. Underfloor heating was a godsend.
Mr Bilclough

Location. Wet room. Range in living room. Peace and quiet.
