This detached cottage on the outskirts of Jedburgh sleeps two people in one bedroom.

Allerton House Stables is a detached cottage in the grounds of the owners' B&B on the edge of the popular town of Jedburgh. The cottage has a double bedroom on the first floor and downstairs, a wet room and open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area. Outside is off road parking for two cars, a courtyard area with furniture and shared use of the B&B grounds. Allerton House Stables is a cosy and convenient base for customers looking to enjoy the amenities of the town as well as the countryside of the Borders, and the fascinating history it holds.

Allerton House Stables was lovely! Very warm and cosy, the perfect size for two! The high vaulted ceilings in the bedroom meant head height was no issue and there was a comfy sofa, small dining table and a cute little kitchenette in the main room downstairs. The wet room was also a great addition and parking is directly outside the cottage. As you can probably tell we had a lovely time and would thoroughly recommend the area and Allerton House Stables!

It was a great base to visit all of the major border towns with great walks which could be commenced from the cottage. The cottage itself was absolutely lovely and perfect for one or two people, and the owner was very friendly and welcoming.

Rest,Relaxation and Comfort
A long, tedious drive up the A1 was more than compensated for by the welcome from Chris the owner of The Stables. The accommodation is more than adequate for 2 people and is very comfortably and stylishly furnished. The nice touch was the basic provisions provided by Chris - more than enough to enable us to relax for the evening and unwind. The off-road car parking was a bonus. Access to Jedburgh was a 5 minute walk down the hill, where most requirements could be met. The amenities to visit - The Abbey, Prison, Mary Queen of Scots house, are well worth going to. If going to Edinburgh use the 'park and ride' - ?4 gives you all day travel on buses 33 and 49. Beware speed cameras on the A68! Overall, an excellent base for exploring the Border region

We had a wonderful four night break, in this hidey hole for two!

We were able to park up outside the door and leave the car until we left. The property was compact, warm and comfortable, once the blinds and curtains were closed and the heating was on, we were snug with the telly on and a bottle of wine! The walk into Jedburgh itself was literally 5 minutes down the bank, over the road and into the tourist information. A few lovely restaurants and pubs. Highly recommend the Stables to stay.
