This charming, end-terraced cottage is set in the village of Tanygrisiau in the Snowdonia National Park and can sleep three people in two bedrooms.

Ty Kate is an end-terraced cottage in the village of Tanygrisiau on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park. The cottage can sleep three people and has one double bedroom, a child's single and a shower room. There is also an open plan living area with fitted kitchen, dining area and a sitting area with a woodburner.

Outside there is parking in a free car park a one minute walk away and a rear patio with garden furniture. With Tanygrisiau Reservoir and Steam Train Station nearby, Ty Kate is a terrific base for your romantic retreat.

This is a small and cosy cottage in the heart of Snowdonia National Park. It's perfectly located for exploring the whole of the park and North Wales. It's near to all the major routes, also the train and bus links were excellent. The nearby town of Blaenau Ffestiniog had a few restaurant options to offer, although the cottage was so excellently kitted out with everything we needed (especially the kitchen) that we stayed in almost every evening, we even made a huge roast dinner on the first night! There were plenty of thoughtful touches around the cottage that made it easy to settle in immediately and feel at home, although without all the usual distractions, which was a relief! The woodburning stove was perfect and necessary on the wet days! And there was a washer/dryer too which we used to refresh our walking gear. One of the best walks of our trip was up behind the cottage; a very interesting walk with some great views and surprises! We loved the overall feel of the house and enjoyed our stay immensely.

Exactly as described, and even better than expected.

We fell in love with the place! The location is perfect for walking etc. The cottage itself is cosy and has everything you need for a romantic or quiet time away.
Ms Elgie

Cozy cottage in an ideal setting.
We fell in love with the place! The cottage is in a quiet, non-touristy area where you could start a hike right from the front door. Mount Snowdon is a short drive away and the steam train station is only a 25 mins walk into town. The cottage itself is cozy and full of everything you'll need. Its perfect.

I found the holiday very relaxing. I was delighted with the care and regard that the owner had put into making us welcome, I must say thank you. The cottage was cosy warm, very comfortable and the patio garden was delightful. The beds were a dream and so cosy. The standard was above excellent, a dream cottage. I hope to return again for another holiday here.
