Nice hideaway cottage for 2 We enjoyed our stay here, it?s a small studio cottage with quality finishing. Comfortable bed, nice fitted kitchen which lacks nothing at all. You could cook a gormet meal on the super cooker. Even has a washing machine. Good tv with free movies. Warm, comfortable and quiet even though a stones throw from a busy road we didn?t hear any traffic at all. A really great place to getaway. It?s about 8 min walk to town over the river bridge. The bathroom and shower room is very well fitted out, great non misting mirror - nice touch. The shower is quite strong but the drainage is a bit slow resulting in a lot of water on the bathroom floor, this needs to be looked at really as it?s a bit dangerous and slippy but I?m sure it could be fixed easily. It did not ruin our stay we still loved it. We have stayed in a lot of Skye?s cottages and never been disappointed, like this they are usually of a high standard. I would recommend this to a couple with a dog, it?s ideal. Also it has a beautiful shared garden by the river so nice for sitting and reading. On the whole a great weekend escape. You won?t be disappointed. Pamander78 2018-08-27
The cottage was well situated for all the sights we wanted to visit. The kitchen, lounge and bedroom were all in one but we felt comfortable and the bathroom was separate. The location was quiet and there were supermarkets near by as well as eating places. Mrs Martin 2016-08-05
A cozy and nice place to stay We loved relaxing in front of the log burning fireplace. A short walk to Ambelside villiage centre along with the river. Romantic to hear rain droppings on the roof windows. Very near to many hiking trails. 333young 2016-01-19
Very cozy and warm Very cozy and well-equipped with quite new stuff. The fireplace made us very warm throughout our stay in Feb. You should buy your own logs though. 333young 2015-11-23
