Self Catering in Dorset - Shaftesbury

Noisiest holiday cottage ever experienced
Not a 4* property although reasonably comfortable. The very worse was the noise factor, at all times of night the boiler would come on which is next to the 1 bedroom upstairs and would "wake the dead". As it did not come on as a result of useage in the barn it could only be useage in the other 9 cottages. Every morning bout 5:00 am it would start again and few minutes later be followed by car doors and engine noises which lead us to believe that maybe certain cottages were being lived in by local workers. There was a power cut which fortunately only lasted for short time but no candles available for such emergencies. Lack of bathroom fittings ie electric point for shaver, somewhere to hang wet towels to dry Nowhere to hang coats Crude fitments in bedroom upstairs for clothing

Well what can I say ! Really really nice cottage Nice and peaceful Very well equipped Comfortable Very spacious Away from the road Welcome's dogs Very clean Freshly laid eggs from the farm A very enjoyable stay was had by all Would highly recommend Would definitely book again

We loved the spacious interior and exterior, it made it feel like a real home. The owner welcomed us personally on the day we arrived, that made us feel very comfortable. Everyone, especially our kids, loved every moment of our stay. We will surely recommend to our friends and probably come back again in the near future.

The Barn was a lovely place to stay, it was quiet and relaxing and close to our family in Shaftesbury. I would like to go back and stay there again and have already mentioned it to several of my friends.

The spacious accommodation was perfect for 5 adults and a baby, it was nice having en-suite with all bedrooms. A pleasant peaceful area with outside sitting space.
