Fantastic stay
Four great nights in a beautiful cottage. One or two niggles were dealt with immediately by the owners, personally. In fact as a result, we got to meet the owners of this amazing place and hear their interesting and awesome history. Thank you!

Dust, dust, everywhere dust!
18 of us stayed in this mansion for 1 week. And while it was very beautiful on the outside, I believe it was let down by the absolute state of our room!! Me and my other half stayed in a 4 poster bedroom and, while I understand it's an old, big hall with high ceilings, it is no excuse for the state of which our room was in. I can only write from our experience of our room and what we saw, I don't k so the state of the rest of the bedrooms.
Upon arrival we were told the gentleman was just finishing off the last bit of cleaning. Once in the house, we all took our tours of it and fought over which room to take. While it is beautiful inside, I was disappointed to see the cleaning was not up to scratch- especially with the current pandemic happening.
In our room, I was disgusted to see that it hadn?t been thoroughly cleaned, as a letter in the kitchen suggested, and there was in fact dust in places which are easy to reach. There was dust on the skirting, dado rail, the headboard of our bed, the blinds, and most waist height surfaces. Up high, there were thick cobwebs everywhere, including a big dead spider above the bath (which as you can see by the pictures, was in no state to use due to the leaky tap dripping over some time and creating a nasty lime-scaled stain.) The shower was hanging off of the wall, and had absolutely no power- i didn?t even feel the water pouring onto my head! Furthermore, the temperature was intermittent. Not to mention the absolute state of the plug hole in there, which we discovered was caked in someone else's hair and grime! This was only discovered because the shower was not draining. Absolutely revolting!! The carpet in the bedroom was filthy, and just needed a good clean- it isn?t difficult. And on all of the wooden furniture in the bedroom was unnecessary water marks which just didn?t looked nice.
While I understand the age of the building and the height of the ceilings etc, we do not expect to spend ?4,000+ for a week and experience what we did. The cracks in the walls are understandable in an old building but the sheer quantity of the dust and grime is uncalled for!!
The grounds are big, beautiful and picturesque And can not fault them.

Fantastic Holiday in a great location
We have just returned from a fantastic break where we stayed at The Coach House at Middleton Hall for a week.
The property is a very large 5 bed property set within the grounds of Middleton Hall. Upon arrival, the house was very clean and a detailed welcome pack was placed on the table, within it was a comprehensive guide to the workings of the property as well as a list of great places to go and visit and activities to do.
The house is large, with 5 large double bedrooms each with an ensuite. There is a very large kitch/diner which comfortably seats 10 people, in addition there are 2 large sitting rooms and a playroom for the children.
Outside, The Coachhouse is set within 30 acres of parkland, which includes 2 lakes and a play area for the children. There are large woods adjoining the property so we enjoyed exploring the woods.
The oweners are fantastic people and were always on hand if required, and they let us know some more great activities to enjoy, including the model railway at Ford and Etal which my daughter enjoyed.
There are a number of fantastic beaches within a 15 minite drive of the house, as well as a number of great local pubs/ restaurnats.
So if your looking for a fantastic relaxing holiday with lots to do and experiance, then this is certainly the place for you!

Outstanding venue
We spent last weekend here as a group of 29, staying in the hall and coach house. To be able to experience and have use of the entire venue was amazing. Facilities were suitable to self cater and have caterers in. We really couldn't fault anything. Thanks so much.

Stunning Hall in beautiful surroundings.
Just enjoyed a long weekend at Middleton Hall for a family celebration and it was the perfect choice. June and Brian are wonderful hosts; very helpful and welcoming. The complimentary treats, including the pistachio cake, were a real treat. All bedrooms with individual decor to an excellent standard. All 10 bedrooms en-suite, which was a real bonus. Everything provided to be fully self-catered if you so wish. Exceeded my expectations. No complaints from anyone in our party, just lots of compliments. Would have no hesitation in recommending. Would love to return some day to enjoy the great Hall and to explore Northumberland further. You will not be disappointed!
