March stay at Greta Cottage
The cottage is lovely, modern and in a perfect location. Although we had a minor issue on arrival, the owners were quick to respond and resolved quickly.

Beautiful cottage in a peaceful village
Contacted the owner Janine directly via the Greta Cottage website, great price, simple booking process and easy to follow directions/key instructions. Able to park directly opposite the cottage with no issues.
Arrived to a lovely bottle of wine, tea, coffee, sugar and a jug of milk.
The cottage is just perfect, clean with all the things you need (even down to torches). We particularly loved the music system which had numerous digital radio stations.
There is an under counter fridge and separate freezer (three good size drawers) we ordered an online delivery from Sainsburys which arrived on the evening of our arrival. The washing machine was great for washing mucky stuff, there is a washing line available and also radiator airers.
Used the oven to make a full roast dinner, only thing was although there is a grill there didn?t appear to be a grill pan. It didn?t stop us having a fry up though.
We had good weather for the first few days and sat out the front listening to the river across the road with a glass in hand very relaxing.
There is a modern bathroom with a lovely hot powerful shower and full bath. The is an iron and a hairdryer provided.
The beds in both rooms are very comfortable the large bed looks kingsize and the single bed is a full size single bed. The is plenty of hanging and storage space.
The multistove is great and uses coal and logs, catches quickly and gets very cosy.
The is no cash machine in the village however some of the pubs and coop do cash back. They are rebuilding the petrol station so make sure you fill up either at Kirkby Lonsdale or Settle.
The pubs in the centre of the village are all basic muddy boot and dog pubs don't expect anything fancy. The Masons Arms on the main road has recently been refurbished and is very nice indeed, food and beer ok.
Fish and chips from the village chippy are good however a little pricy at £6.85 for cod and chips.
We got out and about did the Ingleton Waterfall Trail (back to front), visited Hawes, Aysgarth Falls, Skipton, Settle and Bowness on Windermere. Ingleton is a really great location with lots of great walks on the doorstep.
I wouldn?t hesitate in recommending staying at Greta Cottage.

Wow - what a great find!
What a brilliant little cottage. Charming, cosy and spotlessly clean. The owner, Janine, made a real effort to welcome us: jug of milk in the fridge, bottle of wine on the side and a firelighter for the log burner. Parking was no problem, and the village centre was a only 3 or 4 minutes' walk away (Co-Op, pizza place, Fish & Chips, tea-room, outdoor shop etc.). Really couldn't ask for more. We've stayed in countless self catering lets over the years and this ranks in the top 3. Thank you Janine, it made for a great holiday!

Hidden little gem!
Such a wonderful cottage, everthing you could need for a weeks comfortable stay. Very modern, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Idealy located for all amenities. Walking distance to numerous pubs, shops and cafe's. Well placed for the three peaks and countless other walks too! Definitely recommend if you want a fulfilling countryside holiday.

Christmas in the dales
Just spent a week in Greta cottage. It is located perfectly. Next to all the local amenities but also on a quiet street over looking the river.
The cottage itself has everything you need and is decorated to a good standard.
There is no wifi and no phone reception. This is not necessarily bad if you want a week away from it all but makes it difficult contacting family.
All in all a perfect cottage for a couple and is dog friendly. Would definitely recommend.
