This delightful, end-terrace cottage in the heart of Lea, on the edge of the Forest of Dean, can sleep seven people in four bedrooms.

Orchard Lea is a wonderful, end-terrace cottage located in the heart of the village of Lea, on the northern edge of the Forest of Dean. The cottage offers a king-size double room with an en-suite shower room, a further king-size double room, a twin (zip/link, can be super king-size double on request), and a single room. There is also a family bathroom and a ground floor WC.

The cottage features a well-equipped kitchen with a dining area and a sitting room with a warming woodburning-effect, electric fire, and a separate room boasting a hot tub. Outside, there is off road parking for one car, additional roadside parking on a quiet street opposite the cottage on a first come, first served basis and a lawned garden and a patio with furniture. Orchard Lea is a wonderful base for exploring Herefordshire, all year round.

Family holiday
The photos don't do this place justice in regard to showing how big this cottage actually is. The kitchen is huge, as is the lounge, which has two 3 seater sofas and an armchair. The master bedroom and the twin bed room are large, but the single room is very, very small. It is probably the best equipped cottage we have stayed in, with plenty of cutlery, utensils and crockery provided, and enough bath towels. A small hand soap in the bathrooms would have been nice. A seperate washing machine and tumble dryer is great, as is the seperate fridge and freezer. I would have dried my washing outside had a wet laundry basket been provided to carry my laundry to the line. The hot tub was great and very clean. There is off road parking for 1 car, and other vehicles can park in the front, or we were offered to park in the owners campsite if we prefered. There is quite a bit of traffic passing(some tractors and lorries) and horse riders, but my daughter parked her fiesta in the front and had no problems. Mr Besant was very pleasant and helpful, and his lovely daughter who works in the local indian restaurant looked after us well during a meal there one evening. We would return to Orchard Lea.

Another great stay
Great location just off the A40. We returned to this great cottage for another girlie birthday weekend. Really well equipped and comfortable place to stay with lots to do in the surrounding area. Hot tub lovely! Owner, Phil very helpful.Thank you!

Beautiful cottage however owner of the cottage ruined our experience.
Me and my family have just returned home from a 7 night break at this cottage. The Cottage was beautiful and very clean, we was welcomed with a bottle of wine which was lovley. Perfectly located cottage for a relaxing get away. However we have stayed at a lot of cottages over the years and this has to be by far the rudest owner. 5 nights into our weeks holiday my 7 year old niece entered the hot tub where she got a low voltage shock. The next day after returning to the cottage the owners had put a sign on the hot tub asking us not to use it. Within a hour the lady owner knocked the door explaining that we had caused the hot tub to shock us and break ourselves by wearing what looked like fake tan. However there was 3 ladies in our party, 2 of the ladies didn't enter the hot tub due to medical conditions and the 3rd does not wear fake tan. When trying to explain this to the owner she wouldn't allow us to explain, she made me feel very intimidated. Even if it was fake tan which it defiantly wasn't how can fake tan cause low voltage shocks? It was unfortunate about the rude lady owner as this would of been 5 stars.

A well appointed cottage with an excellent hot tub.

A lovely cottage, done to a very high standard. The beds were very comfortable, as was the cottage as a whole. The hot tub was great and it was pleasure to stay here. We would definitely come back again.
