This detached, red brick cottage in New Earswick near York can sleep four people in two bedrooms.

Micklegarth is a wonderful, detached, red brick cottage in the village of New Earswick, on the outskirts of York. The cottage is set solely on the ground floor and offers a double room, a twin room and a family bathroom boasting a roll-top bath. There is a well-equipped kitchen with a dining area and a sitting room. From the dining area, French doors lead out into the rear, enclosed lawned garden where you will find furniture and a barbecue. There is also a front lawned garden and off road parking for two cars. Micklegarth is a wonderful base for friends and families to explore North Yorkshire, all year round.

Excellent holiday cottage
This is the second time we have stayed in Micklegarth and we hope to return next year. The cottage is spacious, airy and comfortable with everything you will need for a holiday stay. Micklegarth is conveniently situated to visit local attractions in this part of Yorkshire; a short bus ride into the wonderful city of York and easy access to the ring road to take you further afield. There is so much to do in the area for all ages and the owner has gone to some trouble to provide oodles of information on where to visit including local eateries and takeaways. We were very fortunate with the weather and took advantage of the lovely peaceful garden, enjoying the evening sun and a glass or two of wine. Suitable for families or couples this is a perfect location for an enjoyable holiday. Batteries are now well and truly recharged and I'm ready to rejoin the rat race!

Wonderful bungalow ideally situated for York. A bus stop at the end of street is five mins into city. All amenities in nearby Haxby and great base for exploring surrounding area.I would definitely recommend this property.

Excellent choice for York
This property is in the ideal position for a holiday in York; near enough by bus to the city centre but also near to the outer ring road for getting out and about. The house is in a quiet little road, so no traffic to worry about if you have children. Very comfortable, warm and well kept property with everything you need for a break there. Beautiful garden if the weather allows you to get into it! Owner lives nearby so easy to get help if needed and was very welcoming.

The house is very comfortable and in an ideal position for getting around York. The accommodation is good, very clean and airy. It had comfortable beds and a well equipped kitchen. Would recommend it to anyone looking for accommodation in York.
